Borsodchem increases production
Chemicals company Borsodchem Zrt launched construction of a new steam furnace on Friday in Kazincbarcika in cooperation with the investor, Sinergy Kft, a subsidiary of ÉMÁSZ Nyrt and ELMŰ Nyrt. Fueled by natural gas and oil, and with the maximum capacity of 110 tons of steam per hour, the furnace and the connected pipeline will go into operation on March 1, 2009. 75% of the EUR 15 million investment is to be financed through bank loans, while 15% is covered by Sinergy's own capital. Borsodchem Zrt is capable of producing a total 665 tons of plastic at present, plant director János Szabó said. The company is planning to expand production through a EUR 450 million investment, which will be supported by the new facility.
